Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

Nice set of interviews about recording "Free As a Bird" and "Real Love." If for nothing else, it's worth it for Ringo at around 8.40.

Cheers, enjoyed that. Ringo is right about click tracks, fuck them.

I'm gonna sorta crosspost from the "Lennon 40 years ago" thread and repost this wonderful fan-completed or -augmented version of the "Real Life" demo because I've been playing it over and over since rediscovering it today. It's such a beautiful, bittersweet piece. As much as I love the Beatles' "Real Love," I think this is more affecting because it's sparser than the former.

Man, Real Love is great but it just bums me out so much. Same vibe as Streetcore, which I listened to a ton when it came out, but the circumstances are just so sad.

I love this song so much but is it just me or does it get a bit Steptoe & Son esque around the 0:51 mark?

Looking good. Who would ever have thought they had fun during those sessions...

Seriously. That is so not the kind of footage that is regularly trotted out from those sessions. Even if it's nowhere close to my favourite Beatles music, I'm jazzed to see that.

This all looks fantastic. Sounds a bit like the "truth" in is in the eye of the filmmaker. The original version of Let It Be told a tale of drama and strife, while this version appears to be more harmonious.

And therefore confuses why everyone present was so unhappy with the results, so much so that it seemed like the band was done then and there. I assume that this trailer footage is there to balance the more familiar bitterness narrative, to show there were some happy and harmonious moments.
