I need to cleanse my soul after that fucking awful Steelye Span bollocks!

Embrace your inner Morris dancer.

I never really got into 3 Colours Red, despite them being another band with a South Shields connection.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Too busy getting down with the Morris dancers.

Chris McCormac now plays in The Professionals.

English Folk doesn't get talked about enough on here. Fans of the Wicker Man might like this....

It isn't bad IMO, Maddy Prior has a great voice and the band has had some great musicians over the years. What I tend not to like is the up front rock style guitar and drum sounds. I appreciate where its coming from but thats always been one of my hangups of many of these bands.

Rev sides with Heston in a new first for the board. Agreed about her voice, I think it's great.

To be fair I said it wasn't bad.

As Ive said before (I think) I spent at least the last half of the 90s exploring folk and to a lesser extent folk rock music. I found that while I could appreciate the talent of bands like Steeleye Span, Fairport, Horslips, Moving Hearts I was just never able to fully commit to the fusion of folk and rock music for reasons I mentioned previously. I know nothing about the dancing either of you are talking about.

This I can agree with. A small redemption.

They did but for me I always preferred it when these bands lean more to their folk roots.
