It isn't bad IMO, Maddy Prior has a great voice and the band has had some great musicians over the years. What I tend not to like is the up front rock style guitar and drum sounds. I appreciate where its coming from but thats always been one of my hangups of many of these bands.
As Ive said before (I think) I spent at least the last half of the 90s exploring folk and to a lesser extent folk rock music. I found that while I could appreciate the talent of bands like Steeleye Span, Fairport, Horslips, Moving Hearts I was just never able to fully commit to the fusion of folk and rock music for reasons I mentioned previously. I know nothing about the dancing either of you are talking about.

I need to share this as it has overtaken "Is This Really The First Time" by JoBoxers as the catchiest song I've ever heard. It's like a nightmare vision of Madness meets the Small Faces with a bit of the Carry On films thrown in. I still can't decide if I like it but it is totally insane...

Yep but it's also not fit to lick the boots of Madness, Small Faces or Joboxers.Heston wrote: ↑16 Dec 2020, 7:15pmHey, I said as catchy as, not better.Marky Dread wrote: ↑16 Dec 2020, 7:14pmYeah heard that before. I know you're not saying that and I'm just teasing. It's the kind of song that would end up in the 50p bin the week after release.
