Re: The Future of the Republican Party
This is what happens when you vote in a socialist. China is controlling the power grid now and punishing Texas.
How many people could I get agreeing with this at a redneck bar in Texas or elsewhere.
Re: The Future of the Republican Party
From what I understand, Texas large outages are partially a result of not being a part of the US power grid. They have their own intrastate grid, but are not tied to the US interstate grid.

Re: The Future of the Republican Party
Crazy that the right is blaming this on the Green New Deal, a policy not in place in the US and certainly not in Texas. Crazier that people will believe them.

At this point, the right is driven by articles of faith than any evidence. It's in Two Minutes Hate, blame Emmanuel Goldstein mode.Silent Majority wrote: ↑17 Feb 2021, 5:22amCrazy that the right is blaming this on the Green New Deal, a policy not in place in the US and certainly not in Texas. Re: The Future of the Republican Party
Even the idiot governor who blamed it on renewables mentioned that renewable energy only accounts for 10% of the power, the other 90 is fossil fuels. Not only do they reject science but math as well.Silent Majority wrote: ↑17 Feb 2021, 5:22amCrazy that the right is blaming this on the Green New Deal, a policy not in place in the US and certainly not in Texas. He'll be starting a presidential exploratory committee within the week and start hanging out in Iowa and on Tucker Carlson's show.

It looks like many of his supporters will pass away before getting the chance to vote for him. From the article:
Carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that can build up indoors and poison people and animals who breathe it in. Breathing in a lot of the gas can cause a person to pass out or die. Those who are sleeping or drunk may not realize they are being poisoned before it’s too late, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This is West Texas, for sure!

I assume they want to keep taxes down so they don't have to take responsibility for spending on things that would help anyone.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑17 Feb 2021, 5:09pmKeeping taxes and minorities down.Kory wrote: ↑17 Feb 2021, 5:05pmSort of begs the question, what the fuck IS local government for, then?Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑17 Feb 2021, 12:23pmhttps://www.huffpost.com/entry/texas-ma ... b19b653d16

You mean busting my hump, day in and day out, to pay welfare to some unmarried slut who can't keep her legs closed and keeps pooping out kids who'll try to mug me? Pour me another one, Mickey, huh?
