I think I forgot to mention - I'm actually two weeks out from my second vaccination. The rural areas are getting a majority of the doses, and they aren't being used, so they opened them up. I went out to Washington, MO, which is about 45 minutes away, for both. I justified it by the fact that I have past instances of renal failure and the vaccines were going unused. I got Pfizer too, and just had a sore arm both times and a little fatigue after the second shot. I'm really happy about this mostly because I will now feel comfortable going down to Jeff City to testify against bad legislation in person. The MO state capitol is basically just a daily super spreader event. I will obviously still adhere to safety protocols, but many legislators do not.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑28 Feb 2021, 9:55pm48 hours post shot and no ill effects. I won $2.4 million playing blackjack.

Re: Coronavirus Thread of Doom
So apparently the owners of a local deli went to DC to stop the steal. They came back to run their business
no quarantine they just showed up to work. They were called out on this. Their response was basically telling those who would be critical to fuck off and that they didn't need the business from liberals/Democrats.
Well they have since closed. Apparently business dried up.

Gotta love it when the free market stomps on those assholes. You'll often see them whining about corporations pushing same-sex marriage or interracial couples in ads or tv shows, proving a liberal conspiracy. Or, y'know, these companies have done enough market research to show that non-knuckledraggers are a more lucrative demographic. If you don't like it, blame the profit motive.revbob wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 10:20pmSo apparently the owners of a local deli went to DC to stop the steal. They came back to run their business

Yeah, its a place that has been in business for at least 20 years. Ive driven past it hundreds of times but never felt compelled to go inside. It always gave me a weird vibe so Im happy to have never given it any patronage.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 10:37pmGotta love it when the free market stomps on those assholes.
