Love the energy of the Ringo track but It Won't Be long is much too strong for it.

I don't dislike it—really, there are very few Beatles songs I actually dislike—but IWBYM doesn't stand out in my consciousness.

I quite literally forgot what it sounds like. IWBL should take this in a walk.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021, 4:01pmI don't dislike it—really, there are very few Beatles songs I actually dislike—but IWBYM doesn't stand out in my consciousness.

I'm guessing Hestom were manipulating things again.

I certainly like it, doesn't seem like an album winner though. I wanna be your man, though, there's like 4 bands who do it better.

As I recall, there was a lot of discussion about how it was very slim pickings on this album.

Re: Semifinal - With the Beatles
Their best initial material was definitely frontloaded to Please Please Me. Which is understandable given that most bands were a one- or two-hit-wonder. It's hard to appreciate how much the industry saw rock n roll as a fad that would pass at any given moment.
