Two songs about violence—very 1968. I'm voting against HiaWG again just because the other song is a behemoth. That pop pretty boy Paul came up with that makes it even more impressive.

I love both of these songs, but Happiness is my favorite Beatles song so I can’t not defend it until the end. It won’t suck losing to HS, at least. Both are top tier.

Happiness is a great track. It might not have the spontaneous insanity of HS, but it's a far better composition and the ensemble playing by the band is great. I agree, I would be okay if it lost to HS...but it is a really incredible song.

Listening to them back to back, Happiness is a much better track. Love the energy of HS, but...

It’s weird how a board full of the Softest of SRPs is going for the loudest Beatles song instead of pop craftsmanship, but this board will ever confound me.

I've been voting against Warm Gun til now, but it's got my vote against Helter Skelter. Helter Skelter fails to convince as hard rock - MacCartney wrote it in response to reading about a heavy song in the music press and that's how it comes off - whereas Gun succeeds on its own whimsical terms.

The cane episode is one of the funniest episodes of any show ever. It's such a funny show. We just rewatched them all. Phil Hartman was absolutely brilliant.

I've evened it up with a vote for HS. Gun is stronger by a fair margin.
