I wonder what prompted Joe to follow LC with OMT. Strange choice.

This show is fantastic, one of my favorites. Very high energy show, really shows how much they loved playing in Japan. One More Time, Should I Stay, and Know Your Rights are major highlights.

Oh shit you know what, I was thinking of the Jan 2 show. Were they doing a Tokyo residency for a month or something?

The Jan 2nd show is also quite good, in my opinion. Also, the residency was 7 nights, 8 shows cause of a matinee for one of the days. They ended up adding a second show in Osaka because of demand. In true Clash fashion, they did all those shows with only 1 day off.

My dvd says Jan but Feb makes more sense.

I believe (I could look this up, but I’m lazy) that’s the best sound quality recording of that residency but also the lowest energy show because Joe was sick.

Mix is a bit wonky too. It’s like all bass. Which might explain Kory’s bass centric preference.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Paul's bass at its fartiest iirc.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
