Fantasy booking
Fantasy booking
Hello,
I was thinking about Clash songs and who would be a great selection to cover certain songs (hence the title of this thread - a pro wrestling community term....or so a friend tells me).
Tom Jones - Janie Jones
Tom Jones has gone past just the Vegas stuff. Listen to his album with Jools Holland and then consider my pairing.
My only request is when you post something, I think, "Yeah, that would work!".
(If someone has done this already, my apologies - please direct me to it).

I know he already covered Train In Vain (it was ok), but I would love to hear Dwight Yoakum turn Sound Of Sinners into a Bakersfield rave-up.

Apparently spellcheck doesn’t like Dwight Yoakam’s last name.

Cop-era Swans would give "First Night Back in London" the slow throttling it deserves. (Seriously, I can hear it.)

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

I think my favourite actual cover is I'm not down by Thea Gilmore.
The Interrupters were great on the Strummer tribute, so maybe them doing Hateful or the original ska style Bankrobber.
(Plus I wouldn't mind hearing the Clash have a go at Cut The Crap )

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
