When I posted above, I hit the quote button after writing out my comment and cut "Holy shit those fourth and fifth paras" to paste below Marky's image to save like three seconds (because the quote button inserts the post wherever your cursor happens to be -- try this for yourself!).

Anyways, the point telling you all this is that I am also currently marking a bunch of papers in another tab and had been keeping some of the most common feedback copied so I could ctrl-v and customize depending on how the student did. Tired and slightly on autopilot, I put in the grade, pasted the feedback and was about to send this out as an email, until I caught "Holy shit those fourth and fifth paras" in the feedback box at the last minute.

Can someone copy edit this post and send it to Reader's Digest, we can split the twenty bucks.

Hello,

So it's a shirt that looks like you are wearing a parachute? That's dumb.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

McLaren and Westwood design from
Seditionaries. The Clash going back to their punk roots.

Which is funny because a big deal is always made about how the band couldn't afford Viv's stuff.

Hello,

Funny as I couldn't Malcolm's name in the small print on the poster.
