Re: Beaner's and Rattie's Weather Porn Thread
It's been snowing here all day. In April. You gotta be kidding me. It's not like we're f***ing Bavaria.

Same here. Hell, I just went to the basement to get a little space heater because my office is ridiculously chilly and my hands are turning to icicles.

Yeah I scraped about 3 inches of snow off the car this morning. Hoping it's winter's last gasp. Took this photo this morning. My grandmother planted these over 60 years ago but they come up in the lawn a few feet from the house every year:

Grape hyacinths I think. Always a sign of spring here when they come up and remind me of grandma.revbob wrote: ↑21 Apr 2021, 2:28pmI love those things.Kimmelweck wrote: ↑21 Apr 2021, 1:28pmYeah I scraped about 3 inches of snow off the car this morning. My parents live in the next town over where I grew up, about 5 minutes away. But I now live in an older house that my great grandparents bought in 1917 and that I lived in until I was 4. Most of my cousins and other extended family have lived here at one time or another. All kinds of little memories around.

Portland and Seattle setting heat records on Monday by 17 fucking degrees is pretty damn worrying. I hope Kory is doing okay.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
