Miss you, Wally.

Does anyone know if his daughter is going to be in the Olympics this summer?

I'm not sure they have named the squad yet, but fingers crossed. 101W originally thought these Olympics were a bit too early for her but obviously the postponement has changed that a bit.

Not sure if I should post this, I'll delete it if people think not;

Thanks for posting the link. Learning a bit more about Wally keeps him fresh in mind.

I appreciate you finding this. It's inspiring to see his legacy continuing in his daughter - I'm hopeful we'll be able to cheer her on the international stage in one way or another soon.

Thanks, that's a really good read and a nice way to mark his birthday.
His excitement about his daughter's career was always tangible when he posted news about it.

I'm sorry to say I joined too late to have gotten to know him, but as a long time lurker, I enjoyed reading his posts. The article you linked was very touching, it's great to see his daughter's success. I'm sure her Dad is looking down on her, overflowing with pride because of her determination and accomplishments.

No totally above board seriously this is our dear friend's kid, it would be cool to see her compete and do well.
