Clash Amsterdam 10th May 1981 REMASTER

Post by Charlie Dont Surf »

Just picked this one up
Another Remaster to go with Marky's Excellent Version of the show.
For all the completists out there

Enjoy

Info Below

- MULTIBAND REMASTER by the Digital Loyalist -

This is one of my remaster of a great FM rebroadcast show from The Clash in their prime (i love those Sandinista shows).

This FM source was lacking some clarity to my ears which is a shame as the sound is very well-balanced (as a reviewer noticed) with Mick Jone’s guitar in the left channel and Joe Strummer’s in the right, with vocals, bass and drums centred.

So, i thought it needed a little remastering to my ears.
That's what i did using a Multiband Compression as i already done with my previous torrents.

Thanks to the original seeder.

Hope you'll enjoy it.

Cheers
viv

P.S
Of course, don't sell this or the karma police will butcher your kids and theirs kids too, share these files in lossless or lossy versions, i don't care as long as keep this info file.

LINEAGE 2 (my version) =
Flac > Wav > Steinberg Multiband compression > Wav > Flac level 8.

Awesome, thanks! You know, you can really never have too many versions of this show.

That's a pretty short set for them, isn't it? Was it edited for broadcast?

I think it was, all the soundboard / FM versions I have are an incomplete show, whereas the Marky remaster of an audience tape is the full show of 26 tracks.

I have it and i think it’s one of their top ten live performance. Amazing performance and perfect sound quality. We’re still waiting for the complete show from the same source recording.
