Happy birthday—here, have a mortgage.

But, seriously, there's genuine pleasure in knowing you and hearing the steady achievements of your life, and especially knowing that they're deserved. There should be evidence that being a good person should mean having a good life, so your happiness is confirmation to us all that the world does make sense. Be well and continue to be upstanding.

Happy BD SM! I see you're turning 32 and you've shared you're buying a home, way to go! Very impressive for such a young age.

I guess times change and it shows how harder it is these days to get your foot on the bottom rung of the ladder.

I was on my third house at 27. Still fantastic for our man James. 😎

Happy birthday my good man. Somehow, you've tolerated me after all these years and I very much appreciate that.

Happy birthday to a mighty fine fella.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I just noticed a fucking accordion player during what was presumably a legit rock out sesh. The 50s were weird man.

Fun fact: the Comets started out as a Western swing band. (EDIT: is that guy on the right playing a steel guitar?)

One could argue that aside from rockabilly and Chuck Berry, most 50s rock’n’roll was piano/saxophone based. It really wasn’t until the British Invasion sold rock back to us that it was the guitar/bass/drum setup as the standard.

Piano was still a pretty crucial (thought obviously second tier to guitar) to Chuck's music.

But that makes sense about the Comets steel guitar. The accordion I guess falls in with that. Man, I'd love to hear a song with sax, accordion, and lap steel.
