Hi all, happy new year.

Here are some alternates and outtakes from the Walker soundtrack.

These tracks were taken from a tape kindly supplied by Steve Satch.

I've remastered and speed adjusted the tracks. Enjoy.

Thanks Marky and Satch. I had no idea these existed!
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Marky & SS, cheers & thanks so much for unearthing these demos.
I remember the excitement when the Filibustero demo was posted a few years ago and can hardly believe the remaining demos have now been posted.
Suffice to say, I think Walker is some of Joe's absolute best work.
Many thanks!!

I've been away from all things Clash for awhile and I'm way late to this but, if possible, can someone re-up this for me? Walker is up there with my favorite Joe Strummer solo stuff and I would love to hear these outtakes. This album was my way back to the Strummerville. I discovered it in a strange used 'stuff' store in the early/mid 90's. The store had a random collection of furniture, clothes, books and other items that looked like no one had touched in years. At the far back of the store, in a corner, was a rack of albums and this one was at the front of the pile. I remember it clearly. I had never heard of the movie (and still haven't seen it) and had admittedly lost track of Joe after the end of the Clash. Bought it for $1.99 and took it home. Love the whole album, both the instrumentals and vocal tracks. Anyway, if I'm too late, I get it... but thought I would ask. I wouldn't post the files anywhere else. Just want to give it a listen.

I just recently picked up the People's Hall, like a lot of folks, and thought I would check back in here to see what people thought. Lo and behold, I didn't even know about the Rat Patrol acetate from last year. Spent the weekend catching up on that in all its glory. It softened the blow of the official release and I've been playing it ever since. I saw mention of Walker outtakes on BMC site and found this page.

Thanks, TCR! And coincidentally I was literally listening to Trash City on the second disc of Marky's new Strummer set as I saw that you were nice enough to upload Walker.
