• Snoh comes to mind.
• There was a woman, La-something or other (edit: LaVonne?). Seems to me she and Gene had some hostility between them.
• That annoying kid who loved Dylan a bit too much.
• Mr. Diem, the homophobic HDMI cable freak
Four blasts from the past right there. Yeah, I wonder if another look at that live compilation we put together would yield results. I think that was around that time.
Remember LaVonne well enough. Had her own site at one stage, the only website that matters i think it went by.
I remember her avatar very well actually, it was some kid.
I remember that lavonne regularly referred to herself as the "Assmaster", for reasons that completely elude me now!
Further research may be required. :shifty:

I think it was more a strummer news thing than a satchs forum thing so that might help explain it a little!

Another long-lost person whom I just remembered: Joe Public. That guy was always an engaging person.

Sounds like a decent sense of humor. Although just now I think I was confusing Lavonne with Evair, who had the kid avatar. Damn this aging brain.

Oh definitely. All my recollections would be fairly positive anyway, always up for a laugh.

I think I remember Lavonne more from Strummernews. I am still in touch with Evair and I think he still occasionally posts on here. I am very jealous of him, he is based in Brazil and it looks fantastic.

Didn't he have a smoking hot wife/gf? Modskin too for that matter.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I remember LaVonne. Mr Diem kinda yelled at me when I had the "every sperm is sacred" line in my signature. For the life of me, I never understood why it bothered him so but I changed it because I was tired of his attitude.

Is he the one that thought "Death or Glory" was really offensive? I'm guessing because of his anti-homo, pro-Vatican stance.
