New on DIME today, 1980 03-10 Motor City, in 24-48 FLAC. I see on the first page of links on this megalist the only copy available is a 128 MP3, so I am uploading this 24-48 set here, maybe Marky can do some whammajamma on it to spruce/clean/sharpen it up a bit? I mean because he doesn't have enough remastering to do
The sound is not too bad, I did not alter the files in any way other than changing the names to fit my naming scheme. Hopefully this will make for a better copy of this show for us here at IMCT. Seeing as it is 24-48, the total file size of this set is 1.02 GB. Here is the relevant info from this set.

The Clash
1980-03-10
Warren, MI
Motor City Roller Rink

Sourced from the master recording.

Sony D6 Recorder-Sony 939 Mic - TDKD-C90 [master] Cassette -
Technics cassette deck - ProTools (EQ/Volume/Widen/24-48 WAV) -
SoundForge (speed/pitch correct, split, Flac).

Sound quality is good - I'd rate it a B-/C+.

This is pretty awesome. It's an alternate source to the version that
I have from the old trading days for sure. I A-Bd a few spots and this
seems to be closer and more in the crowd than the old version, and the
music is less muffled. It's a little distorted here and there, but given
the time and gear, it's very listenable and it cleaned up nicely with a
little EQ and stuff, but nothing crazy. What a show this woulda been to see,

Also included some frequently seen images from the internet and scans of the
bootleg CD.

Is this a new boot? BMC doesn't have a recording listed for this.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Hello,

Is there a live link for the Leicester 77 show?

Thanks!
I have the Leicester show, here is the info file from it
The Clash
White Riot UK Tour
Polytechnic, Leicester - England
13th May 1977
FROM THE VINYL BOOTLEG: "MY DADDY WAS A PUNK ROCKER" Alien - WEIRD 9
I received this vinyl recording in a tape trade many years ago.
Early (better ones?) The Clash here.
The quality was already almost excellent but as usual I tried to improve it as much as possible.
This concert is indicated on cover titles as Cardiff 1977 gig.
It is instead stated on many sites that it comes from Leicester 1977.
Play it loud and enjoy it!
Further info and artworks on this release at the following links:

https://punkygibbon.co.uk/bands/c/clash_mydaddy.html
discogs info page:

sound cleaning by equalization curve, tracks splitting by Audacity 2.1.3 >
flac encoding and file ffp creation by FLAC Frontend > md5 signature file by mkw ACT.
Tour line-up:
Joe Strummer: vocals, guitar
Mick Jones: vocals, guitar
Paul Simonon: bass
Nicholas "Topper" Headon: drums
Setlist:

01. I'm So Bored With The U.S.A. (02:28)
02. Hate And War (02:03)
03. 48 Hours (02:06)

It's not Leicester Polytechnic it's De Montfort Hall. Allegedly a bbc recording pre FM.
