Nay—it's distinctly their style, but utterly neutered. I did, however, like their cover of "Livin' Thing" off that covers record/NoMoreHugh wrote: ↑26 Jun 2022, 7:36amI'm sure this will get a nay but I really like this

Speaking of the Beautiful South, I've always dug their languid cover of "Dream a Little Dream." It's being in a rowboat, drifting down a slow-moving river.

Fiona Apple, "Pure Imagination." I love it for the embedded horror of the presentation, where pure imagination seemingly leads to something disastrous, yet there is still hope at the end. It's like an entire narrative contained within.

The Bird and the Bee, "Jump." Delightfully silly.

I just saw a jazz piano performance by James Taylor's guy, and he mentioned he was in the middle of writing a musical with Inara.

Neat. The Bird and the Bee are somewhat of a guilty pleasure as I'm generally not keen on that kind of lounge-lizard pop.

I don't know them well, but a close friend is a huge fan of theirs, to the point that they saw his work on IG and commissioned him to design a show poster and a deck of playing cards to sell at the merch table.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑12 Dec 2023, 1:11pmNeat.
