Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?
I'll never stop urging people who haven't heard this to give it a spin. One foot in their punk roots, one in the indie rock band they'd become.

Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?
Hello,
Public Enemy - New Whirl Odor. When this came out, I wasn't that high on it. However, it's really good and I should have given it more credit earlier. Heavy on the beats (not a surprise), it's a really rhythmic album. It's got a few strong lines as well:
No way we can win, 'cause this the beginning of the end
Of your liberal friends who sometimes pretend
Everything's changed, while nothing's changed much
Some things in the air when the smoke clears
Will it only be White folks and nothin' but Black jokes?
Both from the track New Whirl Odor.

This compilation called Skaliente https://www.discogs.com/release/7212636 ... -Skaliente
It's a "Latin goes ska" comp. Really good vibe. Have been listening to it since the 90's every now and then.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?
Thanks man, I'll check them out!
Edit: Give 'em the boot comps are the biggest influence on my musical taste today, so that's awesome. I had no idea that comp existed.

Great surf rock with a bit of 60s spy and horror movie thrown in.

I'm a strong advocate of horseplay, assuming it's sensibly regulated, doesn't distract others from their work, and the participants can demonstrate that it generates edifying benefits.revbob wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 2:36pmCouldn't be Doc doesn't like funMarky Dread wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 12:57pmSounds like fun.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 12:55pm
