Holland-Dozier-Holland are arguably the most successful songwriters of all time based on chart success.
Messers Lennon and McCartney would like a word ....

I loved Holland-Dozier-Holland too, 2022 is turning out to be a really shitty year.
Every year will be shittier than the last from now on
With the exception of the one where Trump dies. Bonus points if it's in prison and it's a lingering, painful death.
McConnell would have to also die that year to make it a good one, considering all the other bullshit that will be happening on the remaining 364 days.
You damned Millennials can't even properly appreciate the death of a monster.

Well to be perfectly frank, I'd rather he suffered for 10 years rather than die. That's an easy way out.

Yeah, a massive stroke that leaves him paralyzed and unable to speak, but alive. Just stuck in his own head and aware that his family has abandoned him.

But Anne Heche is.

Also, does anyone know if the person he stabbed Rushdie had a Starbucks Cat Stevens cd?

One of my childhood friend's dad looks exactly like him:

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

From what I've read, Heche had a pretty fucked up childhood and early adult life. Seems like she found some kind of stability and peace, though it maybe being alcohol related suggests otherwise.

I gather that when she came out in the 90s, the climate in Hollywood made her radioactive and her career went into a tailspin. And it's plausible that her demons made her a bit difficult to work with (speculation on my part, of course). Terrible circumstances all around.

Yeah, I feel a little sadness anytime I hear about someone struggling with substance abuse, even more tragic when it appears to have played a role in their passing.

That certainly didn't help. But reading her wikipedia, her dad died of AIDS when she was 13 and he was closeted. All her siblings died young and then her mom got into promoting gay conversion.

God, what a nightmare. It makes her successes all the more remarkable.
