Liz Truss

Post by Marky Dread »

Great news Liz Truss is the new PM!

She has found a bag of magic beans and a special watering can under what was Boris Johnson's desk. She will use these to grow our economy. With her new chancellor Mr. Gerry Mander we look to be in safe hands.

The Tories are bound and determined to make Thatcher seem like the good old days.

Heard her on somewhere the other day blaming green policies for Britain's lack of growth and hinting that it would soon be boom time for oil and fracking companies. Can see the riot squads been called in to crack heads when people inevitably take to the streets, she'll be like a poundshop Thatcher but wirh a bit of trump thrown in for good measure.

Just read a few blurbs but sounds like her economic policies are quite committed to sending Britain into as long and deep a recession as possible. Sorry about that. X(

Some might settle for a poundshop Thatcher but I think we've got 99p Stores Truss.

Was watching it live and was a bit confused when i first heard the whooping and yelping but soon realised he was on a total piss take and it was glorious. And true to form, the bbc has already caved in to pressure:

Saw a story on the news about her last night and how she's tried to mimic Margaret Thatcher with her dress, mannerisms and even recreating some of her famous photos. Is she so void of any personality that that's the best she can offer the people?

So 6 months to a new general election then? a year? Surely she will not last the full 2 1/4 years until the regularly scheduled election in Jan 2025.

We should do a poll, my guess is between 6 months to a year until they give up and call it.

They're what, 10-15 points behind in the polls or something, so I'd say she'd want to see some swing on that before she'd think of going to the country. Personally, i wouldn't trust those polls at all, but she'd be mad surely to risk it in the short term, even if the opposition is a bit shit? Still, mad times so you couldn't rule anything out!
