I get those guys are insanely popular but anything with clarkson just an automatic no no for me.

The former Top Gear and current The Grand Tour said on Twitter on Friday that the social media platform was a "handy and constant reminder that socialists are disgusting people".

The comment came under heavy criticism online, including from actor Sean Biggerstaff who played Oliver Wood in the Harry Potter series.

Commenting on Clarkson's post, Biggerstaff wrote: "Shut the f**k up you rancid old thug".
A few superficial differences in mannerisms aside, Clarkson and Boris Johnson are pretty much the same person for me, overstuffed with privilege and heedless of the consequences of anything they do or say. Riling folk up is just a game for them, punching down the very essence of their beings.

I just enjoy watching them bust each others' chops and do silly things to each other and cars. Their personal political views are meaningless to me since I do not watch them or listen to them for political guidance. I appreciate them for what they are, 3 aging morons who bust on each other. What Jeremy thinks about "socialists" or anything political is meaningless to me. I mean, I don't go to McDonalds when i'm in the mood for a salad. Clarkson is not a politician and he is not American, so any political views he may have about the US are just someone's opinion. I am also not sure if his description of "socialists" is the same as an American politician's description of "socialists". What i'm trying to say is that I like their show for what it is, mindless buddy-bashing escapism and nothing more. Their political leanings mean absolutely ZERO to me and my enjoyment of their show. I understand that Jeremy writes for some newspaper rag in the UK but I don't read any of his opinion pieces and therefore would not know his political leanings, and my not being a UK citizen means I can't have a real opinion of his views about British culture since I do not live there or know what daily life is like there. His views are just that, his views. He's in his early 60's agewise and of course his success and his age are surely factors in his views on life and stuff. I am not the same person I was 40 years ago either, people change as they age and for me, as long as he still likes travelling the world with shitty used cars and busting on James and Richard, I truly couldn't give a toss what his views on society are.
From what I see there's still a little hope

That's fair enough, never meant to suggest i had an issue with people watching it, was only my personal 2c and judging by the viewing figures they achieve, probably not even worth that!

This is an amazing show. Maybe one of the best I've ever seen. We've laughed and we've cried watching it. And yes, Willie Jack is awesome, but every character is interesting and well sketched out.

Started watching Dahmer on Netflix. Evan Peters does an excellent job. His Dahmer comes across as disengaged, bizarre, but also weirdly goofy at times. Also, nobody could kill a sizer of Budweiser like Jeff Dahmer, apparently. I do wish they would have shot at least some of it in Milwaukee. We're forever linked to the guy, least we could ask for is a little screen time.

I remember waking up to the news back in 1991. We drove past his apartment and gawked a few days later. It's now a vacant lot.

Just like Joni Mitchell warned us.
