Yeah Ive realized that about myself sometimes. My mother, being Dutch, passed on a certain bluntness that can come off as hurtful. I've worked hard to silence that voice. Dutch bluntness is wonderful when you just want someone to get to the point, but it can ignore that the person at the other end has feelings.
