With respects to XRCF.
After a dozen listens through my headphones this afternoon I can say it's just echo on Mick's backing vocals and not Ellen on the track.
I'm not convinced it's an echo because it's in a different pitch to the main vocal. An echo would just repeat the main vocal line. To me it just sounds like a clever harmony hidden low in the mix.

I guess it's possible. Presumably they did the vocals at the end of 81 Electric Lady sessions when she probably did the Car Jamming vocals:
Mid-November- late December
Studio - Electric Lady
Tracks
Atom Tan
Cool Confusion
Straight to Hell
Red Angel Dragnet
Idle in Kangaroo Court
Beautiful People Are Ugly Too
Rock the Casbah
Death is a Star
Escapades of Futura 2000
Once You Know
Line Up
Joe Strummer – vocals, guitar
Mick Jones – guitar
Paul Simonon – bass
Topper Headon – drums
Futura 2000 – guest vocals on “Overpowered by Funk” (probable overdub from the earlier session) and "Escapades of Futura 2000"
Tymon Dogg - piano on "Death is a Star", vocals and violin on "Once You Know"
Allen Ginsburg – guest vocals on “Ghetto Defendant”
Ellen Foley – backing vocals on “Car Jamming”
Joe Ely – backing vocals on “Should I Stay or Should I Go”
Tommy Mandel (as Poly Mandell) – keyboards on "Overpowered by Funk"
Gary Barnacle – saxophone on "Sean Flynn"
Kosmo Vinyl - vocals on "Red Angel Dragnet"
Engineer – Jeremy Green
Source - Clash FAQ (page 268), Complete Clash (for Futura info)
1982
It doesn't mention it there but don't forget she has a backing vocal part on Overpowered By Funk. (Don't you love our Western ways).

The version of OBF that's never been released has even more Ellen vocals.

I did note that on the Ear Studios session for OBF.

Studio – Ear Studios, The People's Hall, Frestonia, London
Tracks
Overpowered by Funk
Long Time Jerk
Midnight to Stevens (1981-09-17)
Should I Stay Or Should I Go
First Night Back in London
Know Your Rights
Inoculated City
Ghetto Defendant
Line Up
Joe Strummer – vocals, guitar
Mick Jones – guitar
Paul Simonon – bass
Topper Headon – drums
Ellen Foley - Vocals on "Overpowered by Funk"
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Mick's backing vocal is in a different pitch I think with an echo added. But hey the thing is it's not Ellen.

There's no way Paul is the bassist on OBF.

Perhaps he was watching the person playing bass. That sort of counts.

It's kind of how I think of Vince. He was in the same band as two guys in the Clash; he was Clash adjacent.

Why's that? Too hard?

That's the best I could find for an isolated bass track.

The scale runs in the "combatative, repetitive/asinine, stupifying" sections are the biggest clue. Fast and articulated, which Paul was not.

I try not to think of Vince at all.
