She actually skipped me but my sister forwarded it. She goes from the weather in Ottawa to her daughter getting a college acceptance letter and her inability to find a part time job to all the nice well spoken foreigners she's met since moving to Canada to a fox news worthy rant about people crossing the US southern border who unlike her forebears from Ireland who had all their paperwork in order to enter legally back in 1850.
The reality is that at the time she mentions there was no such thing as illegal immigration. People just showed up if you had the money to get here, you got in. And she also mentions Ellis Island which was just an island at that point with no immigration proceedings happening there. Im glad she's Canadian now.![]()

His use of slave labour, white complexion, and northern ethnicity means the rules are relaxed. One might pause that he's a dirty socialist giving away stuff for free, but let's not overlook that he judges people as worthy or not first.

The Boss were tempted to buy this for either one of a couple brothers-in-law who despise St. Justin.

Milkshake duck, Ottawa edition: A lawyer who gained some fame and appreciation during the Clownvoy occupation last February thru legal commentary turns out to be a creep. The wise path, I think, is to assume everyone online is a monster.

Not to be judging on superficial qualities but that picture and presumably his real life presentation says it all. When the initial accusation broke, on the Ottawa reddit, a number of people said it was an open secret in the legal community that he was someone whom women had to avoid. Less a case of "omigosh" than "it's about time."revbob wrote: ↑28 Apr 2023, 1:41pmNot to be judging on superficial qualities but that picture and presumably his real life presentation says it all. As Canada's Conservatives look to the US for horrible ideas and role models, the Liberals do their best to match them. What can a plutocrat warmonger and uninspiring politician teach them? Let's find out!

In case you think for a second that Canada has avoided the insanity of America, I was reading about the response of some people in northern Alberta (aka Texas of the tundra). Communities are being evacuated because of wildfires and some residents are resisting, claiming it's … fake news. That's right, despite a choking smoke in the air, there is no fire. What's going on, apparently, is that the NDP—who aren't even the governing party—are trying to lure homeowners out so that they can dump homeless people from Edmonton to go looting. It's like the narrative has to be transparently absurd for the mouthbreathers to embrace it.
