The only thing keeping that from being the worst thing ever in any universe is the absence of Gene Simmons.
And we're in a timeline with this abomination:

Butchering a song and making it sound like you can't sing at the same time
Putting a little stick about. Putting the frighteners on flash little twerps

That has to be breaking some kind of law on the books.

I remember stumbling upon that when Napster came out. It did not fill me with happiness.

If I remember correctly Jonesy played on her album.

Well, I hope he pulled some nice spice cash for the effort.

SecondHandSongs is a great resource for looking up cover versions. It doesn't indicate she's ever done a KISS song, but that she did butcher "You Shook Me All Night Long."

That Ive seen and its quintessential French Canadian stlye rock n roll.
Yeah, there's some French Canadian pop that's alright, but rock music just dies there.
Its like they dont know how to not make if cheesey
I've wondered if the French language just doesn't lend itself to rock, whether it lacks the right aggressiveness in inflection.
It isn't just the vocals, the music is often equally cheesey.

I came across this band this morning, not bad.

I like the video more than the music. Not that the song is bad, just rather generic.

Hello,

French rock and roll:

Well, it's in French (some bits in English, too), but Plastic Bertrand is Belgian.

Also, Joe Strummer liked it, according to a quote from him on the song's Wikipedia page:

The song was praised by Joe Strummer of The Clash: "Plastic Bertrand compressed into that three minutes a bloody good record that will get any comatose person toe-tapping, you know what I mean? By purist rules, it's not allowed to even mention Plastic Bertrand. Yet, this record was probably a lot better than a lot of so-called punk records."

Despite being the least popular member of the SGs, she was by far the best singer among them.

I wouldn't be an authority but she came across as the most normal/decent of them too, at least to me anyway.
